of the CSPCA Board of Directors

The President Karen Kleinhans was at her home in Pawnee, Illinois and the Secretary Jo Ann Redditt was at her home in Alexandria, Virginia.

Board members in attendance were: Karen Kleinhans, President; Jeff Vidt, Vice President, Jo Ann Redditt, Secretary; Marilyn Currey, Treasurer; Eastern Director, Mike Lauer; Central Director, Tim Bergeron; Western Director, Bob Rosenberger; Directors At Large, Gail Garrison, Grace Fritz, Deb Cooper, Alice Fix, Debby Smith and Marilyn Vinson.

Guests present were: Marge Calltharp, Barker Editor and AKC Delegate, Cyndi Skinner , Harmony Bay CSP Club and Scott Strong, Hoosier State CSP Club

The meeting was called to order at 9:08 EST by President Karen Kleinhans.

Bob Rosenberger made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 3, 2007 minutes, seconded by Marilyn Vinson. The motion passed unanimously.

President's Report - None given.

Secretary's Report - None given

Marilyn Vinson made a motion, seconded by Bob Rosenberger to approve the June

2007 Treasurer's Report. The motion passed unanimously.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Marilyn Vinson made a motion, seconded by Gail Garrison, to approve the establishment of a Top Agility Dog Award as requested by Chair Paula Perry. The motion was approved unanimously.

Grace made a motion, seconded by Bob Rosenberger to approve frames and totes for the 2007 National Specialty. The motion passes unanimously.

Marilyn Currey made a motion, seconded by Deb Cooper to approve the Desert to the Sea Club to host the Meet the Breeds again at the Eukanuba show in Long Beach; to provide the Club with $500 seed money and approve $75 for the three conformation medallions and $45 for the agility medallion. The motion was approved unanimously.

Marilyn Currey made a motion, seconded by Marilyn Vinson to approve the change of The Barker from a bi-monthly to a quarterly publication beginning with the new printing contract. The first quarterly issue will be the July/August/September 2007 issue. Beginning with the January/February/March 2008 issue The Barker will feature both the Nationals coverage and the new "annual" to show off all the new titleholders, honors and accomplishments from the previous year. It is also hoped that we can stay at over the 80 pages needed to go back to the perfect binding style which allows the printing on the spine. Members will be notified of the change to a quarterly issue with the mailing of the ballots in July. The motion passed unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS

Grace made a motion, seconded by Alice Fix to approve the 2007 Nationals be in memory of Jo Ann Leistner. The motion passed unanimously.

Gail Garrison made a motion, seconded by Marilyn Vinson to approve the donations of funds for anti-dog legislation to (1) $500 to NAIA, $500 to NAIA Trust and $500 to the AKC Legislative Fund. The motion passed unanimously. The CSPCA through its donation will become a member of NAIA.

Bob Rosenberger made a motion, seconded by Deb Cooper, to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
