CSPCA National Annual General Meeting

September 26, 2006

Springfield, MO

Call to Order at approximately 7:10 pm.

Acceptance of Conference Rules

Motion was made by Alan Klessig and seconded by Scott Strong and the conference rules were accepted by the attendees.

A motion was made by Scott Strong and seconded by Beverly Foster to approve the minutes of the last annual meeting which were printed in the July/August Barker. Motion was unanimously approved.

The following members were appointed to review the minutes from the 2006 annual meeting: Eastern Region: Marilyn Braunstein; Central Region: Victoria Straub; Western Region: Gail Tighe.

Report of the President

A detailed copy of the President’s report was printed in the November/December 2006 Barker.

Report of the Secretary

JoAnn Redditt was absent

Report of the Treasurer

Marilyn Currey stated that paper copies of the annual financial report were in the back of the room. She also stated that actions were currently underway to accomplish the long planned financial goals of moving some of our money into CDs or other interest bearing options.

Roy Anderson was absent

Unfinished (Old) Business

Marilyn Vinson reported that, to date, AKC is still not prepared to allow us to include coat types on our registration. She will keep following up.

New Business

President Kleinhans let the members present know that in the back of the room were two surveys: one regarding the Morison award and one regarding hotel costs for nationals. Members were encouraged to use these surveys to share their preferences.

President Kleinhans thanked all members of the Board and the committees for their hard work the past year.
