Then two weeks before Nationals, the rest will be charged to the credit card. Reservations will be made through Marion Thompson for the 2003 Nationals. Romana Arnold has the contract for the Houston Hotel for 2003. Marion's work would be included in the contract. Members will like this as thier motel bills will be paid before Nationals.

Annie Clark doing Futurity/Maturity at 2002 Nationals
The Board is not sure whether Annie Clark has signed a contract to judge the Futurity/Maturity at the 2003 Nationals due to the fact that during past years, the Futurity/Maturity judge was selected by different criteriae than is now in place, and due to the fact that Mrs. Clark has been ill. Jo Ann Redditt will ask JoAnn Leistner to check on this to make sure it is done.

The Interim Nationals
As Nationals will be moving to the autumn, there will be a small Nationals in 2003 in October. The show will not have Futurity/Maturity or an Invitational. It will be the same length, so there will be time for extra educational events. It is advised that this show be in the center of the country, possibly in Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri or Ohio. Several sites were discussed. Jeff Mauk will ask Pat Roach to look into a site called Houston Woods which has cabins, lodges and two hundred fifty motor home sites. Purina Farms or the Illinois State Fairgrounds were discussed, but it is preferred to have the show indoors. Karen Kleinhans, Alan Klessig and Jeff Mauk are on a committee to focus on this show.

Advertising Committee
Jeff Mauk has been working with people who have responded to the notices on the Web Site for help with advertising. He has spoken with Bonnie Stoney about a position sellling ads for the Barker. A group will be organized to start putting together the packets for new members.Possibly dog food companies could help. We could include Dr. Vidt's address. Each membership card would include the member's CSPCA membership number. Four or five people have expressed interest in this.

Posting Items to the Web Site
A discussion was held on posting items to the Web Site. It was decided that Chuck Suda's monthly report of the results of Specialty Shows and Alan Klessig's listings of which trophies have been donated and which need to be donated, could go onto the Web Site without the approval of the President or Vice President.

Discussion of the Election
There are three At Large Directors positions to be voted on.  The positions of President and Secretary will be for two years, and the positions of Vice-President and Treasurer will be for one year. At this point, the future elections will be as specified in the By-Laws.

Election Results

Turning down entries to Specialties

Medallions for the AKC Invitational
The AKC has contacted the Club to see if we would donate toward the Medallions for Best of Breed, Best Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, and Best Bred-By Exhibitor at the American Dog Classic in Florida this December. Motor Homes at 2002 Nationals
Nancy Bergeron said that the fee for parking a motor home at the 2002 Nationals will be $20.00 a day, $5.00 of which will go to the hotel. If someone has a motel room and a motor home, the motor home parking price would be reduced to $l0.00 from $20.00. Electric service to motor homes will be extra.
